For a long time now I have resisted all forms of physical expression ie. facebook, my space, twitter, blogging and journaling. I guess I wanted to keep my private life private. I had to incentive to connect with high school pals or to give out all the details of my life. Or maybe I thought that these things would eventually just go away.
I have since reevaluated my priorities and actually had to be convinced that these forms of social media are not only useful but can be extremely helpful in my future endeavors. You see eventually I would like to start my own business and this is a way to market to the masses and connect with customers that I don't even know. I always thought that when I would start my business, I would use the traditional means of marketing but alas times are a changing. I realize that when I look around and I see traditional stores closing and going out of business such as "Circuit City , Hechts, Comp USA, Hollywood Video and Movie Gallery and KB Toys.
In this day and age we must adapt to todays trends, we must take advantage of technology and try to take in as much information as possible. This requires an investment in time and agility. We must learn to juggle. I must admit, i am guilty of not taking advantage of technology but I am determined to prove that "you can teach an old dog new tricks", just kidding about that old dog stuff.
